Are We in Day 6?

Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well! I mentioned in my last blog, A Word of Encouragement, that I'd begin sharing some of the prophetic events that I have been studying over the last few weeks. These are too good to keep to myself! I have many, many things I want to share with you, but you'll have to be patient with me as I start unpacking all of these goodies!

Okay, let's start laying out some foundational work:

Let's begin with God and the number seven. It seems to be a very important number to Him.

In the book of Genesis we see that God created the entire world in seven days.

God marks every seventh year as a Sabbath year, in which the Hebrew people were commanded to let the land rest, and plant nothing. After every seven Sabbath years, they were then to commemorate with the Year of Jubilee.

"Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard." - Leviticus 25:3-4

"And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return his possession, and each of you shall return to his family."- Leviticus 25: 8-10

In Joshua, God promises to drive out seven specific nations after Joshua and the Israelites cross the Jordan into the Promised Land.

"So Joshua said to the children of Israel, "Come here, and hear the words of the Lord your God." And Joshua said, "By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites." - Joshua 3:9-10

In the book of Daniel, we learn that the Antichrist will execute a seven year peace treaty with Israel. Then halfway through, he will break it.

"Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate."- Daniel 9:27

In the book of Revelation, you will see the number seven saturated throughout the scriptures: Seven churches, seven lampstands, seven trumpets, seven seals, seven stars, seven thunders...

Jewish scholars have taught, for centuries, that God counts time in sevens. In the book of Genesis, when God created the entire world in seven days, that is actually a timeline of humanity, representing seven thousand years.

"But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."- 2 Peter 3:8

Okay, so now with that tidbit of info, let's dive into what seems to be a prophetic parallel of the seven days of creation and the final millennia of mankind!

Day 1:

Light is separated from darkness.

1st Millennia of humans: Adam and Eve. Their sin separates mankind from the God of Light.

"And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day."- Genesis 1: 4-5

Day 2:

The waters above and below separate.

2nd Millennia of humans: Noah. God brought the waters together, flooded the earth, and then separated them again.

"Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so."- Genesis 1:6-7

Day 3:

God fills the earth with seed-bearing plants.

3rd Millennia of humans: Abraham. God makes a promise to Abraham that through his seed, all nations of the earth will be blessed.

"And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good."- Genesis 1:12

Day 4:

Lights fill the sky.

4th Millennia of humans: God raised up prophets to give light to Israel. God also sent His only son, Jesus, to be the Light of the World.

"Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on earth", and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good."- Genesis 1:14-18

Day 5:

God creates a new creature: animals.

5th Millennia of humans: A new generation of people who would be able to inherit the kingdom of God and eternal life because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

"So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good."- Genesis 1: 21

Day 6:

God creates humans as the Crown of His creation: Adam and Eve

6th Millennia of humans: US. We are the 6th Millennia of humans, and I believe the last. Just like Adam and Eve, we have fallen short and failed in the commandments of God.

"Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air,, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, ad over every living thing that moves on the earth."- Genesis 1:26-28

Day 7:

God rested.

We will rest with Him for 1,000 years when He comes back and reigns with us in the restored Garden of Eden. This would complete the 7,000 year calendar - and bring the 7 days of Creation in full circle...

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."- Genesis 2:2-3

"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgement was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." - Revelation 20: 4

In closing of this for today, because I think this is a big bite to chew on, I will leave just a couple more points adding to the idea of a 6,000 year cap of humans on earth.

The Bible says that in the last days, it will be like the days of Noah. If you go back and read the story of Noah, you will note that Noah lived to be 950 years old! However, when God sent the great flood and destroyed the earth, Noah was 600 years old. Not any other age. Could this be a prophetic detail in the timeline of things to come?

"And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all."- Luke 17:26-27

"Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth."- Genesis 7:6

Also: Jesus started His ministry of signs at the wedding in Cana. They ran out of wine, and when he turned the water into wine, guess how many barrels were noted? The Bible didn't tell us there were a couple, or a few, but specifically noted six barrels of water. Could this parallel the beginning of His ministry with the end of it? When Jesus sat at the table with His disciples and they drank the wine together, He tells them that He will not drink this wine until they are together again. This is exactly what happens during a Jewish wedding, which will be in the next post I write! The rapture of the church is described exactly in the customs of the traditional Jewish wedding. So, could this illustration of the six barrels of wine be another hint at the timeline of humanity living on earth?

"Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece."- John 2: 6

"This is the beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him."- John 2:11

"Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take this and divide it among yourselves; "for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."- Luke 22:17-18

I hope you all have enjoyed this, and it's sparked a desire to do some further reading and studying in your Bible! Invite the Holy Spirit in to read with you and empower you to have deeper wisdom and understanding, so that you can see in ways that you may have been blind before. Honestly this has been such an exciting process for me. I am so grateful that the Holy Spirit led me to this study! I see more clearly, and I am in a deeper AWE of our amazing God!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I give you thanks right now for every person reading this. I pray that You would give them a divine wisdom to understand Your words and teachings exactly the way You intended. I ask that You would continue to lead us step by step down this very narrow road with You. Everyday the world seems to walk further away from You, but as Your children, we ask You to hold our hand a little tighter, and keep us close to You. Carry us if You must, in order to save us from our own desires. We know Your plans are only to prosper us and lead us to an eternity of love and joy with You. We entrust our lives to You right now, Lord.

And we give You thanks and all of our praise for being such a good, good Father.

In the precious name of Jesus,

Amen.

Blessings and Love!
